    Abstract

This one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental study intends to verify the effects of the ‘Hearim’ intervention program for families with dementia patients on their feelings, dementia attitude, quality of life, coping skills and social support. In short, the program has statistically significant effects on family caregivers’ dementia attitude and social support, whereas it does not exert statistically significant effects on their feelings, care-related quality of life and coping skills, but improved those aspects marginally. These findings substantiate the need to further unroll, reinforce and develop the ‘Hearim’ intervention program for the benefit of families with 1 dementia patients, and warrant further studies with a larger sample for generalizability
